Dear friends,

My precious wife went to meet her Saviour face-to-face this morning, July 7, 2022, around 5:30 am (HST).  She took a drastic turn for the worse yesterday morning.  My daughter, Cindy, and I were with her all through the night.  We made her as comfortable as we could, and she left this world peacefully. We know without a doubt that she is worshipping in heaven with those who went before her and with all her faculties restored like new.  She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, and “tutu” - grandmother to her family.  She was 88 years old, and we would have been married for 66 years in August.  

Her memorial service will be on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 10 am at Daybreak Church - Kailua, 1230 Kailua Road, Kailua, HI.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, please donate to River of Life at www.riveroflifemission.org.  If you think you will be attending the memorial and the reception that follows at 11:30, please text Cindy at 808-389-3720 with your name and the number of people who will attend.  We are hoping to lifestream the service, so email xiningmom@yahoo.com if you want to get that information.  Thank you.

If you have any stories to share with me and the family about how Bonnie encouraged you in your walk with God, please reply to this email to let us know.  You may write your stories in Chinese if you want, and Cindy will translate.  You may forward this information to anyone you want.  Please no gifts.  Our God has supplied all my needs!

It will be wonderful to have the entire Jim Melton family in Hawaii for a few days, even with the sadness of Bonnie’s passing.  Please pray for me and my family as we learn to live without Bonnie.
