Rosaline Yam
President
Rosaline is the President of GIVES.She believes it is a privilege to serve in this role and to work together with the fellow GIVES Committees building GIVES to be a long term expatriate community service platform in China .Such a platform, she said, represents services of friendship and support to their host country by joining the hands of the different expatriate sectors to encourage and to empower individual lives.
It is in such a strategic role that Rosaline serves businesses and the community at large, providing both vision and direction. In her business involvement, she represents Sungrace Investment in international and local investment projects. Rosaline is also a founding Director of the Australian Chamber South China for 16 years.
An Australian citizen, she received her Master’s Degree of Commercial Law from Australia.
Matt Horn
Media, Marketing & Sports
Matt is responsible for GIVES Media, Marketing and Sports portfolios, providing innovative and professional input in highlighting work that GIVES does across a range of platforms. He not only serves on the Executive Board of GIVES, but has been our regular MC at events major fund raising events and auction activities for a decade.
Matt is a sports journalist from the UK, as well as a journalism lecturer at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou. There he runs a course on behalf of UK based University of Central Lancashire, which has also become a GIVES supporter. He is actively involved in the promotion of Guangdong and is one of the hosts of “Face Time” on GDTV World and the host of “My Guangdong” on Radio Guangdong, Both shows and stations have helped GIVES with coverage and support.
Matt recently received a MBE award from the Queen honouring him for his development of journalism as well as his charity work with GIVES here in China for more than ten years. He was also honoured here in China with the Friend of Guangdong award in 2005 and the International Friendship Award in 2012.
Janet Xu
Treasurer
Janet serves as the Treasurer of GIVES, providing her professional guidance and financial management for GIVES.
Janet is a Chartered Accountant and tax partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers Guangzhou office.
James Zeng
Legal Counsel
James serves on the Board as legal counsel to GIVES, providing professional guidance and assistance in its daily operations.
He is a partner with King & Wood Mallesons. His areas of practice include corporate and commercial, merger and acquisition, foreign direct investment, banking and finance technology transfer, international trade and securities. James received his Bachelor Degree from Beijing, Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law and LLB from Australia.
Troy Appleton
Guangzhou International Christian Fellowship (GICF) Coordinator
Troy serves as coordinator between GIVES and the Guangzhou International Christian Fellowship (GICF) which constitutes more than 50 different nationalities in the congregation. He encourages this diversified expatriate community to reach out and support the different GIVES projects in the local and rural areas.
Troy is a Humanities and English teacher at an International School. Coming from Australia, he has resided in Guangzhou since late 1997.
Vincent Ng
Technology
Vincent is responsible for advising and making technology continues to work for GIVES.
He is the director of product management in Telenav, a leading provider for connected car and location-based services. Before that, he was the product director for a couple of technology brands, Philips, in the assisted driving domain, and Alcatel, in the smartphone arena. Coming from Malaysia, he has been in China since 2007 and obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the U.K.

Krzysztof brings significant support and awareness of GIVES work to the consulate community.
Alastair Morgan
Consul-General, British Consulate-General Guangzhou
Alastair is an active supporter of community services in Guangdong. In his capacity as the Consul-General, British Consulate-General Guangzhou, he often hosts projects in encouragement and support of such work.
His background and experience includes serving as the Commercial Counsellor and Director of Trade & Investment for China in the British Embassy Beijing from March 2007 to December 2010, First Secretary (Trade Policy) in the British Embassy Tokyo and Counsellor Trade Policy and Director of Inward Investments and the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry 2001-2002.
